The band's annual Christmas Party was held at the Wimborne Football Club this year. The members turned up for the relaxing party to celebrate the year. We played skittles for most of the evening, with some pool thrown into the mix.

Of course all the games stopped for the sausage and chips, but were underway again soon after! The party is also a chance to recognise those individuals that have excelled through the year, through the annual awards. This year, won by:

• Bandsman of the Year: Peter
• Bandmasters Award for Effort: Kira
• Most Improved Senior: Lewis
• Most Improved Junior: Molly
• Best Bugler: Emma
• Best Tuned Percussionist: Abi
• Best Drummer: Mel

A massive congratulations to all of you for your hard work and dedication, which hasn't gone unnoticed!

Along with the above awards, the attendance awards were handed out to the members with the top attendance to band events and practices throughout the year. Well done to: Mel, Molly, Lewis, Abi, Brandon, Emma, Pete, Mike and Jack.

Another very successful year for the band. We have a few more events of the year, culminating in the band playing in Wimborne Square on Christmas Eve. Be sure to check the events calendar so see where we'll be over the next two weeks!
