Broadstone Remembrance Day Parade - Sunday 9th November 2008 |
|
This is the first of two Remembrance parades for us today. We marched the British Legion and the various Scout and Guide troops to the Memorial in Broadstone Park. Here a service is performed and our buglers play Last Post before we march the parade to the Church for the Remembrance Day service. Whilst the parade members are in the service, the band members are treated to tea, coffee or squash and biscuits. Two of our buglers then played Last Post for the service and a further two minutes silence was observed. Once the service was finished we march the parade back to the British Legion, where we are then given sausage and chips, which is always enjoyable! Shortly after this, we loaded back into the cars and headed toward our second event of the day, Corfe Mullen Remembrance Day Parade.
