The Dorset Youth Marching Band hasn't performed in Verwood Carnival for many years. This year marked our comeback and we performed to our best. When we arrived and departed the coach, the weather was warm and muggy, the clouds soon disappeared and it was sunny and hot, which was welcome as the forecast was for rain!

Throughout the parade, we marched to our smartest and sounded powerful throughout. The crowds certainly seemed to enjoy listening to us.
Once we had completed the parade, we had a chance to look around the fete and fair. Some went and had an ice cream, whilst others watched our friends, the Bournemouth Carnival Band, perform in the arena, which was as usual, very entertaining.
This was a promising start to the Summer Carnival Season and we hope to see more of the same!
