The Dorset Youth Marching Band of Wimborne was formed in 1996 from the East Dorset Scout Band. We are a Bugle oriented band with Bass Bugles, Bell Lyres, Side Drums, Tenor Drums and Bass Drums. DYMB, a military style marching band, perform in carnivals, parades, fetes and concerts all year round throughout the South of England.
2006 saw the beginning of annual trips to France (we last went to France as East Dorset Scout Band in 1995) which have been a massive success every year. We teach our members everything, from how to march and play their instruments, to how to clean and polish their shoes. Kingsbridge Camp 2008

Dorset Youth Marching Band of Wimborne have returned from a hugely successful Kingsbridge Camp. We performed in the Kingsbridge Carnival on the 26th, our second day on camp. We were informed by spectators, the Mayor and Mayoress that we sounded and looked brilliant! We also visited Woodlands Park, performed at the Bigbury Golf Club, played games and chilled at the camp site, all in one weekend!
